Penguin and MySpace search for new James bond theme

Bond fans are getting the chance to become part of 007 history by getting the opportunity to write the music to the new Bbond1seaond movie. Unfortunately, I think my musical talent doesn't stretch this far but I am sure there will be a lot of people out there who would be interested. I am a huge bond fan and would love to be associated with anything bond related.

Penguin announced its search for the theme tune to Devil May Care, the eagerly awaited new Bond novel, written by Sebastian Faulks.

Visitors to uk.myspace.com/devilmaycarebook all have the chance to create an original piece of music for the new book which is published on May 28, the centenary of Bond creator Ian Fleming's birth.

The winning track will become the book's official theme tune and will be featured on the Devil May Care audio book, published on the same day. This will be the first theme tune to accompany a James Bond book.

A shortlist of five entries will be selected by a high profile judging panel, including Sebastian Faulks, music producer Jazzie B and Matthew Fleming, great nephew of original Bond author Ian Fleming.

The competition is open to all musicians - both amateur and established artists - with the deadline for entries on February 25.
